If people are going to take photos at your event anyway, the backdrop decides what's behind them. A step and repeat is the logo wall guests stand in front of: your logo, or your logo and your sponsors, repeated across the whole wall, so it shows up in every photo no matter where people stand or how the photo gets cropped.
We print it, and our designers lay out the logos for you. Here's what to decide, in plain words.
Step and Repeat Checklist
- the room: how much wall space you have, and whether there's a window or bright light behind it
- how many people will stand in each photo
- every logo you need, in the best quality you can get
- a place for the backdrop where the line for photos won't block a door
- your order placed two to three weeks before the event
Which Size
Our step and repeat backdrop comes in three sizes, and all of them are 8 ft tall:
- 8 ft x 8 ft, for smaller rooms and photos of a few people
- 9 ft x 8 ft, a little more room for groups
- 10 ft x 8 ft, for large groups and wide shots
The wider the wall, the easier it is to keep the edge of the backdrop out of the photo. If you're not sure and the room allows it, go wider.
What Comes in the Box
Everything you need to stand it up:
- a large-tube aluminum frame, 1.625 in tubes, with locking collars and heavyweight feet
- a wrinkle-free fabric graphic, printed by dye sublimation, with hemmed edges
- pole pockets top and bottom, so the graphic slides onto the frame
- a carry bag
The graphic slides off just as easily, so next year's event can use the same frame with a new design.
Getting the Logo Wall Right
The mistake to avoid is logos that are too small. A wall full of tiny logos turns into a pattern in a phone photo, and nobody can tell whose logo it is. Fewer, bigger logos work better.
- leave space around each logo, so it stays whole even when a photo is cropped tight
- keep the background calm, one or two colors, so faces and outfits stand out
- if there are sponsors, decide the order and sizes before the design starts
Something on the Floor
A printed floor decal in front of the backdrop does two jobs. It shows guests exactly where to stand, and it puts one more logo in every full-length photo. Ours are for finished indoor floors, have a non-slip lamination, and come up without a mess.
Shooting Near a Window or Under Stage Lights?
Bright light behind a backdrop can wash out the print. Our blockout fabric backdrop has a black layer inside, so light from behind doesn't show through, and its low sheen finish keeps camera flashes from bouncing back. It comes in 4 ft x 5 ft and 6 ft x 4 ft, with grommets for hanging, or with pole pockets so it fits a stand.

Fitting a row of logos into a clean pattern is fiddly work, so let us do it. We lay out the logo wall, the floor decal and any signs as one set, so the photos look planned.

However the design is made, our team checks it before it's printed, and nothing goes to print until you approve the proof.
Once you approve, your order ships in 1-2 business days and usually arrives 2-5 business days later. If you already have an event date, tell us and we'll plan around it.
A Smaller Photo Corner, in One Order
Not every event needs an 8 ft wall. For a birthday, a wedding, a graduation party or a school event, a smaller backdrop and something on the floor are often enough. We put those together as bundles, designed as one set:
